Job Description
A) General Heat Process Knowledge. 1) Working of ID fan and FD fan. Working of furnace and firing. 2) Ability to read temperature gauges and pressure gauges 3) Flue gas, Wet scrubber and chimney knowledge 4) Oil burner or gas burner (added advantage - not compulsory) 5) Operation of panel boards B) Thermic heater 1) Circulation pump - operation, air lock releasing knowledge. 2) Deaerator, expansion tank - valve operation and thermic oil temperature maintaining. 3) Deaerator use and expansion tank use 4) Thermic oil top up, air releasing and draining. 5) Fire maintaining C) Boiler 1) Furnace - Firing. 2) Feed water pump operation and priming knowledge, steam temperature and pressure, condensate. 3) Air preheater, economizer, mechanical dust collector. 4) Coal crusher, conveyor and bunker operation. 5) Ash handling system and other allied operations. 6) Water - pH, TDS knowledge shows that he has good knowledge in boiler. D) Chemical and Petrochemical background 1) Distillation, reactors, condensers- operational knowledge. 2) Process parameters and SOP knowledge. 3) Process critical valve operational knowledge. 4) Vacuum process and positive pressure process knowledge. Vacuum pump knowledge. 5) Raw material feed control, emergency feed cut and other procedural operation knowledge. 6) Flowmeter, temperature gauge, pressure gauge reading. Process parameter log readings. 7) Safety operation and flare gas - extra knowledge. E) System word, excel documentation, Auto Cad and email knowledge (For team leader compulsory, for team coordinator optional)
