Job Description
Sound technical, functional, and analytical abilities with extensive knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Unix Shell Scripting, Retek Merchandising System (RMS)
Experience in both application development as well as application support roles
Responsible for resolving problems/issues in Oracle Retail Modules batch and application and provide suggestions for fixing the same
Strong learning orientation so you keep abreast of the emerging business models/processes, applications product solutions, product features, technology features – and use this learning to deliver value to customers daily
High flexibility so you remain agile in a fast-changing business and organizational environment
Create and maintain appropriate documentation for architecture, design, technical, implementation, support, and test activities
Directly engaged with customer/onsite team member to resolve any outstanding issues
Provide dashboards, reports, and other statistics to all DC's/Clients
Maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for issue resolution, system availability, system/ batch health check-up, maintenance activity, reporting and follow-ups
Providing L2/L3 support which includes fixing of medium and high priority issues impacting the business
Work on module customization, Patch Upgrades and adhere to Change management delivery workflow
Ensure batch monitoring work runs smoothly
Mentor and support new team members both functionally and technically and guide them about the business processes involved in on Oracle Retail project
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree/experience
Experience in Oracle retail support services for a minimum of 3 years
Must have played an active role in defect prevention activities (e.g. recording the defects and appropriate action items)
Functional Skill - RMS, RPM, Allocations, ReIM, ReSA, WMS, RIB, RTM, RFM, OMS,RA
Technical Skill - SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX, Java, Shell Scripting, Pro*C, Oracle Forms, BI Publisher, Oracle Data Integrator, ADF, R Code, ETL Tool, ODI, Orcale Reports, Python, Conversion, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), Integration Tools -DellBoomi, Oracle Service Bus(OSB), ReTL, Job scheduler - Automic/UC4
Technical knowledge in Oracle Retek, SQL, PL/SQL, java, UNIX, Pro*C and batch schedulers will be an advantage
Must have functional knowledge on any of the following ORetail modules - RMS, WMS, RPM, RDF, SPO, MFP, AP, Store Cluster, RPM, ReIM, Allocation, ReSA, POS and RA. This will be extensively used in batch and application support (Need Changes)
Interact with the customer across the globe and resolve the outstanding production issues
Knowledge/working experience of the batches and its impact on whole system
Perform root cause analysis and provide resolutions for erroneous or unprocessed transactions
Ability to anticipate potential problems, determine and implement solutions
Passion for learning and a desire to develop technical and consultative skills
Flexible and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
